Wow, you got that sermon perfectly. Mat 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. |

We talked about the difference between joy and being happy on Sunday in church. Happiness with what we have is one thing but joy in the Lord, oh my. Even in trying circumstances, keep me filled with joy, Lord for you and let me glorify You no matter what happens in my life. Praises to my Rose of Sharon. |

Holy Spirit, I thank you for this great joy I have bubbling up from within my soul! No matter what comes my way, I Can have joy in my soul. The world seeks for happiness, but is is fleeting and only lasts a short time. Joy in the Lord is eternal. We may not always be happy, but we can always be joyful! I thank you, Holy Spirit, that when I don't know how to pray, that you make intercession for me. You are my strength and my comfort, my joy and my peace! Hallelujah!!! This joy that I have/ The world didn't give it to me/ This joy that I have/ the world didn't give it to me/ This joy that I have' The world didn't give it to me/ And since the world didn't give it/ the world can't take it away! |

Holy Spirit, I thank You for the Biblical example of Barnabas, full of the Holy Ghost and of faith. So little is known about him that I can relate when it comes to living my life in obscurity. As long as I could be deemed worthy to be remembered as such that causes me much joy. Thank You Holy Spirit for the gift of faith. We read that the disciples were full of joy and the Holy Ghost. I find myself more and more giving You the appropriate credit for the great joy I have and feel in You, and I am ceasing from attributing my happiness to something that I have created on my own merit. Hallelujah for revelation and due respect! Oftentimes, I feel condemnation for not making an impact, for not doing enough, for not feeling full. A person left me a message day before yesterday that I have not yet responded to, but now I ponder if that was You reminding me I am too Kingdom-work oriented, expecting results in this lifetime, rather than heavenly rewards someday. 'Chris' said, (about a comment I made about a failure I had) "That would grieve the Holy Spirit more than the failure itself." I ponder now the meaning if it was instruction by You or condemnation by others. So I am learning, I am growing, and I am seeking You alone for the knowledge and wisdom I so need. Be with me as I sort out some long-standing issues in my life. Help me not to bury them, but instead allow You to expose them and free me from them. You bear witness that I am in You and You in me, but I am so aware of the flesh that remains. I groan and travail within myself as all creation does. I put my hope in You and I ask You to work with my infirmities, rather than me using them to work against You. Help Me to understand Your express will and lead me in the paths You have designated for me. I thank You that You have sealed me. I thank You that I trust You. I thank You that You are the Promise that fills me. Amen ![]() |
